Biography and Curriculum Vitae

Heather Cameron was born in Winnipeg, Manatoba, and was raised in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. She has lived in various North American cities, and currently resides in Vancouver BC.

Heather was originally trained as a graphic artist, then returned to the Ontario College of Art to study experimental arts, graduating in 1989.

Her artistic work in textiles has been exhibited in Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Regina, Nelson and Suzuka, Japan. Several of Heather's original pieces are held in public and private collections in Canada, the U.S. and Japan.

In 2004, Heather graduated from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute with a graduate diploma in art therapy. She currently runs a private Art Therapy practice in Vancouver.

Heather is also recognized for her community involvement organizing large participatory workshops and events.
